Because the product is fresh and has a short shelf life, fast, reliable and temperature-controlled delivery to customers is essential to both sales and quality.Role Description The Van Sales Executive will drive sales and distribution on an assigned route, selling, delivering and invoicing directly from a refrigerated company van to supermarkets, groceries, hotels, restaurants and cafés. The role combines field selling and order taking with on-the-spot delivery, cash and credit collection, stock control and cold-chain handling, ensuring customers receive fresh product on time while route sales and collection targets are achieved.Key Responsibilities1. Route Sales & Customer DevelopmentCover the assigned route daily according to the approved journey plan, visiting all scheduled outlets and customers.Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets by volume, value and product mix.Take orders, promote the full product range and introduce new products and promotions to existing customers.dentify and open new outlets within the territory, including supermarkets, groceries, hotels, restaurants and cafés.Build strong relationships with store managers, buyers and chefs, and handle customer queries and complaints professionally.Monitor competitor products, pricing and activity in the market and report findings to the Sales Manager.2. Delivery, Stock & Cold-Chain HandlingLoad the van accurately each morning against the loading sheet, checking quantities, quality and expiry dates.Maintain the cold chain throughout the route, keeping the van refrigeration at the required temperature and recording temperature logs.Deliver products on time and in good condition, applying FIFO (first in, first out) and handling fresh produce carefully.Merchandise products on shelves and chillers at customer outlets and ensure correct display, pricing and rotation.Manage returns, damaged and near-expiry stock in line with company policy, and minimise wastage.Reconcile van stock at the end of each day and report any shortages or discrepancies.3. Invoicing, Collections & ReportingIssue invoices and delivery notes using the handheld device or sales system, ensuring accuracy of prices, quantities and VAT.Collect cash, cheques and credit payments according to agreed customer terms, and follow up on overdue accounts.Hand over daily collections and complete cash settlement with the accounts team without discrepancies.Submit daily sales, collection, returns and visit reports, and keep customer records up to date.Keep the van clean, roadworthy and well maintained, report any mechanical issues promptly, and follow all traffic and safety regulations.Qualifications & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in Business, Sales or a related field is an advantage.Minimum 2–4 years of van sales experience in the UAE, ideally in fresh produce, FMCG, dairy, bakery or chilled food distribution.Valid UAE light vehicle driving licence is mandatory.Good knowledge of UAE roads and routes, with an existing customer network in retail and HoReCa (hotels, restaurants and cafés) an advantage.Experience with handheld invoicing devices or sales/ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Odoo or similar) is an advantage.Basic food safety or food handling certification is an advantage.Skills & CompetenciesStrong selling, negotiation and customer relationship skills.Accurate cash handling and basic numeracy for invoicing, collections and stock reconciliation.Good communication in English; Arabic, Hindi or Urdu is an advantage.Punctual, disciplined and able to work independently on the route with minimal supervision.Physically fit and able to load, unload and carry product safely.Honest, reliable and customer focused, with a strong sense of responsibility for company stock, cash and vehicle.
