Green Gold Agri Seeds is committed to supporting agricultural productivity and long-term partnerships with farming communities.Role Description The Variety Development Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Faisalabad. This position is responsible for leading the evaluation, selection, and introduction of new seed varieties, coordinating field trials, and monitoring performance across different regions and climatic conditions. The role involves collaborating with agronomists, suppliers, and marketing teams to ensure new varieties meet agronomic standards and farmer needs, as well as preparing technical reports and variety profiles. The Variety Development Lead will oversee data collection and analysis from trial sites, support training for internal teams and farmer groups on new varieties, and contribute to product positioning and technical support for sales and marketing.Qualifications Strong agronomy and plant breeding knowledge, including variety evaluation, field trial design, and performance analysis.Experience with seed testing protocols, quality control, and adaptation studies under diverse climatic and soil conditions.Applied research skills, including data collection, statistical interpretation, and preparation of technical documentation.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with farmers, technical teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and lead trial activities on-site and in the field.Proficiency with basic digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, trial management software) for recording and analyzing field data.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, or a related discipline.Prior experience in seed companies or agricultural input firms in Pakistan or similar markets is an advantage.Willingness to travel to field locations and work in outdoor environments as required.
