The Honda R&D office in Milan is looking for a Vehicle Performance Engineer whose main role will be to maximize motorcycle performance through simulation, data analysis, vehicle dynamics understanding, and trackside support during racing and testing activities. What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a highly motivated engineer with a strong technical background in vehicle dynamics, motorsport engineering, and a genuine passion for motorcycle racing and performance development.This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced motorsport environment, enjoys transforming complex data into performance improvements, and is motivated by continuous technical innovation. Education

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, or equivalent. Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and motorcycle performance fundamentals.
• Experience in data analysis, data processing, and performance evaluation methodologies.
• Knowledge of simulation tools and correlation between simulation and track data.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or equivalent engineering analysis tools.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and performance index development.
• Understanding of race engineering principles and setup optimization methodologies.
• Knowledge of telemetry systems and motorsport data acquisition is considered an advantage. Soft Skills

• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a racing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to engineers and riders.

• Prepare and configure simulation environments and analysis tools.
• Study historical performance data and statistical trends.
• Support the definition of event plans and performance strategies.
• Performance analysis and provide setup recommendations.
• Conduct detailed post-event vehicle performance analysis.
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
• Proposals for future races and tests, and long-term vehicle development.Office-Based Activities
• Develop new analysis methodologies, performance indices, and engineering tools.
• Validate simulation models using track and test results through continuous feedback and correlation activities.
