This role will work closely with EMAT engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to track technical performance, identify trade-off opportunities, manage risks, and support achievement of vehicle-level performance targets.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the EMAT Program Performance Lead (PPL) with vehicle-level program performance activities.Serve as a key point of contact between EMAT engineering teams and cross-functional teams outside of EMAT.Support the creation, maintenance, and regular updates of the EMAT program scorecard.Provide technical status and updates for vehicle-level targets, including:Vehicle performanceFuel economyDriveabilityWeight managementThermal managementAerodynamicsDevelop and coordinate work requests for EMAT Science Teams.Review and analyze technical data and performance results provided by EMAT Science Teams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate trade-off opportunities involving VDE, PSE, and driveability.Support the development and implementation of technical risk mitigation plans.Validate customer functional objectives and requirements related to EMAT performance.Work with EMAT Science Teams to support competitive vehicle benchmarking and future product performance assessments.Communicate technical status, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to program leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.2+ years of experience in product development, vehicle development, or propulsion system development.Preferred QualificationsExperience deriving or working with ABC coast-down coefficients.Understanding of VDE sensitivities and vehicle-level performance trade-offs.Experience with fuel economy and/or VDE simulation tools.Experience with conventional and electrified powertrain systems.Experience conducting or analyzing fuel economy testing and test data.Knowledge of vehicle testing, including:Chassis dynamometer testingEngine dynamometer testingVehicle coast-down testingExperience with competitive vehicle benchmarking and product futuring.Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Ability to analyze engineering data, identify performance gaps, and support technical decisions.ALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
