Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Description – City Vendor ManagerRole OverviewWe are looking for a highly driven City Vendor Manager to own the end-to-end vendor ecosystem for a city. The role requires managing contractor relationships, resolving escalations, driving timely payouts, and ensuring seamless coordination between internal stakeholders and vendors. The ideal candidate is data-driven, possesses exceptional stakeholder management skills, and can influence outcomes through strong communication and negotiation.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the complete vendor management function for the assigned city.Manage end-to-end vendor escalations and ensure timely resolution with a high level of ownership.Drive vendor payouts by coordinating with internal finance, operations, and business teams to ensure adherence to timelines.Build and maintain strong relationships with a large contractor/vendor base to drive performance and maintain compliance.Influence vendors to improve operational adherence, quality, and customer experience.Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Quality, and Leadership teams to drive key business outcomes.Analyze vendor performance, identify gaps, and drive data-backed improvement initiatives.Monitor operational metrics, identify risks proactively, and recommend corrective actions.Ensure process compliance while continuously improving vendor experience and operational efficiency.Desired SkillsExcellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.Strong in data analysis and have high proficiency in google sheets, SQLStrong communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.High ownership with the ability to independently drive initiatives.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience handling a large contractor or vendor network is highly preferred.Sales acumen with the ability to build trust and drive outcomes through relationships.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in Vendor Management, Sales, Business Operations, Analytics, or a related domain.Prior experience managing large vendor/partner ecosystems is preferred.Experience in startups, marketplaces, construction, logistics, e-commerce, or similar operational businesses is an added advantage.
