You will analyse market trends, discover new opportunity areas, and shape business models, exploring how technology and AI can transform waste treatment, energy recovery, and decarbonisation across the circular economy.You will guide venture streams through our structured, agile validation process, working hands-on from early concept to a tested, fundable proposition. Depending on what each venture needs to succeed, the outcome can grow into a new business unit within EEW or be spun out as an independent company. You will help shape that path along the way.Throughout, you will work closely with EEW and other industry players, combining the backing and domain expertise of an established industrial group with the speed and agility of a startup.Your responsibilitiesSystematically research and analyse market trends and identify relevant business opportunities, with a focus on the energy and waste treatment spaceTake ownership of your venture stream, turning early insights and concepts into validated business models that drive changeHandle the venture development process end to end, applying a commercial perspective to the projects and managing project scope, timelines, and decision gatesRegularly communicate your findings in an appealing manner through reports and presentations for internal and EEW stakeholdersTransform ideas into concepts and prepare convincing pitch decks that transmit your insights and recommendations in a well-structured mannerYour profile3+ years of work experience in a fast-paced, ideally startup or venture-building environmentExperience in the energy sector, waste treatment, or carbon management is a strong plusComfortable working and collaborating in agile team setups, complex structures, and across multiple projectsUndeterred by ambiguity and uncertainty, as we deal in innovation where not all variables are clearly definedCreative forward thinker with a passion for continuously learning about new markets, technological or startup trends and unknown topicsA hands-on doer who keeps pace with the latest tools and developments, happy to build a quick prototype or pick up a new skill from scratch to test an ideaFluent in English; German at B2 level or aboveWe value humility and we're as interested in your character as we are in your talent.
