Role SummaryPosition: Venue Operations Coordinator
Location: Khobar, Saudi Arabia (Only candidates currently based in KSA will be considered for this position)Contract Duration: 1 October 2026 - 25 February 2027We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Venue Operations Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of venue operations for a major international football event in Saudi Arabia.The role will support the Senior Venue Manager and Venue Operations Manager in coordinating operational activities at the assigned stadium, covering match-day and non-match-day operations, venue readiness, stakeholder coordination, operational milestones, test events and tournament-time delivery.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and highly organised venue operations professional who can coordinate across multiple teams, track operational readiness and support the successful delivery of a major international football event.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Senior Venue Manager and Venue Operations Manager in the planning and delivery of venue operations.Coordinate with internal functional areas and external stakeholders, including stadium authorities, contractors and service providers.Support the implementation of event, venue and operational guidelines, policies and standards.Monitor and follow up on the readiness of stadium infrastructure, facilities, services and operational areas.Support venue operational planning, including venue access, use of spaces, facilities, signage, services and operational interfaces.Assist with the development and maintenance of venue operations plans, procedures, trackers, schedules and other operational documentation.Support the integration of requirements from different functional areas into a coordinated and practical venue operations plan.Facilitate effective communication and coordination between venue stakeholders and internal teams.Support the organisation and coordination of venue meetings, workshops and operational briefings, including agendas, actions and follow-ups.Track key operational milestones, actions, risks and readiness activities, escalating issues where required.Support venueisation, venue team familiarisation, handover/handback and other critical operational milestones.Assist with the planning and delivery of test events, readiness exercises, simulations and operational rehearsals.Support day-to-day venue operations during the tournament, including match-day and non-match-day activities.Assist with the coordination and resolution of operational issues during event delivery.Maintain accurate and timely reporting to the central Venue Management team.Support wider venue operations activities as required to ensure the stadium is event-ready and operationally prepared.Required SkillsFamiliarity with stadium safety, crowd management and event operational principles is desirable.Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Visio would be an advantage.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based environment and adapting to changing event requirements.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Sports/Event Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, Operations Management or a related field.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in venue operations, stadium operations, sports events, large-scale events, hospitality or a similar operational environmentExperience RequirementThis is a hands-on, site-based role suited to professionals with experience in stadium operations, sports events, venue management, large-scale events, hospitality or other operational environments.Candidates with experience in stadiums, sports venues, major events, exhibitions, hospitality, entertainment or other large-scale operational environments are encouraged to apply.Experience working with multiple stakeholders, suppliers, contractors or venue partners.Strong understanding of venue operations, event readiness and operational planning.Willingness to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and extended hours in line with the event schedule.English language proficiency at C1 level or above.Location / Work ModeAl Khobar , Saudi Arabia
