With its main location in Dubai, U.A.E., the City Vet Clinic serves as a trusted partner for pet guardians seeking professional, compassionate care.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Vet Nurse role based in Abu Dhabi. The Vet Nurse will support veterinarians in delivering medical and surgical care, including preparing patients for procedures, assisting during operations, monitoring anesthesia, and providing post-operative care. Daily responsibilities include handling and restraining animals safely, administering medications and vaccines, performing basic diagnostic tests, maintaining treatment records, and monitoring patients in consultation, recovery, and intensive care areas. The role also involves educating pet guardians on preventive care, nutrition, and home care instructions, ensuring cleanliness and infection control in clinical areas, and collaborating with the veterinary team to provide compassionate, efficient service.Qualifications Strong Veterinary Nursing skills, including support during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.Demonstrated Animal Care and Pet Care skills, with a focus on handling diverse species safely and compassionately.Knowledge of Anesthesiology principles, including monitoring patients under anesthesia and assisting with pain management.Competent Laboratory Skills for sample collection, basic diagnostics, and accurate documentation of results.Relevant veterinary nursing qualification or diploma from an accredited institution.Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting is highly beneficial.Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to explain treatment plans to pet guardians.Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, with strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as required by clinic operations.
