This role involves performing comprehensive cardiology examinations, interpreting diagnostic imaging and tests (such as echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and radiographs), and developing individualized treatment plans for pets with cardiac and vascular conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing medical and interventional cardiology cases, collaborating with general practitioners and other specialists, advising on medicine and advanced diagnostics when appropriate, and overseeing follow-up care. The Veterinary Cardiologist will communicate clearly with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and home care, maintain accurate medical records, and support continuous improvement in clinical protocols and patient outcomes.QualificationsStrong foundation in veterinary medicine, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing case management.Advanced skills in veterinary cardiology, including cardiac imaging, electrocardiography, and management of congenital and acquired heart disease.Knowledge of medicine applications and vascular diagnostics and treatments relevant to veterinary cardiology.Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with certification in veterinary cardiology.Excellent clinical communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to pet owners in an accessible manner.Maintain accurate, detailed medical documentation.Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to high ethical and patient-care standards.
