Role DescriptionWe are seeking a strategic, ethical, and highly accountable Vice President – Compliance to lead the organization’s compliance framework and strengthen a culture of integrity, transparency, and regulatory responsibility. The role is responsible for developing compliance strategies, policies, controls, and governance practices that support business objectives while effectively managing regulatory and compliance risks.You will provide senior-level guidance on applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, regulatory developments, and emerging compliance risks. Working closely with executive leadership, legal, risk, audit, finance, operations, and business teams, you will ensure that compliance considerations are embedded into business decisions, processes, products, and strategic initiatives.The role includes overseeing compliance risk assessments, monitoring programs, internal reviews, regulatory reporting, investigations, policy development, training, and remediation activities. You will identify potential compliance gaps, evaluate the effectiveness of controls, recommend corrective actions, and monitor remediation plans to ensure sustainable improvements.You will also support relationships with regulators and relevant external stakeholders, prepare compliance reports and management updates, and provide clear recommendations on significant compliance matters. The role requires independence, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to balance regulatory obligations with practical business considerations.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Compliance, Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance principles, corporate governance, and risk management.Strong understanding of compliance monitoring, internal controls, regulatory reporting, investigations, and remediation processes.Ability to interpret complex laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and internal policies and translate them into practical business requirements.Strong strategic thinking, analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.Ability to provide independent and practical advice to senior management and governance bodies.High level of integrity, confidentiality, professional judgment, and ethical standards.Ability to develop and maintain effective compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, and training programs.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple regulatory and compliance priorities.
