This is an opportunity to join a company that values operational excellence, prudent financial management, and continuous improvement.Your New RoleReporting directly to the Managing Director, the Vice President, Financial Reporting & Accounting will serve as the senior finance leader for the Canadian business. This executive-level position will provide oversight of financial reporting, accounting, controllership, treasury, financing, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, governance, and financial systems.You will act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insight and guidance to support key business decisions. The role will lead all aspects of financial reporting across multiple entities, oversee external audits, manage lender and banking relationships, and ensure strong internal controls and compliance frameworks are maintained.In addition, you will play a key role in driving process improvements, enhancing reporting capabilities, supporting finance transformation initiatives, and developing a high-performing finance and accounting team.What You'll Need to SucceedTo be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:CPA designation.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.Previous experience within a public accounting firm.12-15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.3-5+ years of leadership experience at the Director level or above.Strong experience in financial reporting, controllership, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, taxation, and internal controls.Proven ability to engage effectively with executives, ownership groups, lenders, auditors, and external advisors.Demonstrated success leading process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience within real estate, asset-intensive businesses, private company environments, or complex multi-entity organizations will be considered a strong asset.What You'll Get in ReturnThis is a rare opportunity to step into a broad Head of Finance role with a stable and well-capitalized organization offering significant visibility and influence within the business.The compensation package includes:Base salary of $225,000 - $275,000(the role does not offer a bonus)Executive health and dental benefits (employer paid).$5,500 annual Health Spending Account.$1,000 monthly car allowance.Four weeks' vacation.10 paid sick days.Additional paid time off during the Christmas holiday period.Half-day Fridays prior to long weekends from Victoria Day through Labour Day.Half-day Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.Strong work-life balance.Opportunity to influence finance strategy, systems, and process improvement initiatives.Occasional travel within Canada.What You Need to Do NowIf you meet all the requirements for this role, please apply quoting reference number: 1126553.
