The OpportunityThe Vice President of Information Technology plays a critical role in aligning technology with business objectives. Reporting to the Chief Business Development & Corporate Affairs Officer, the senior leader oversees IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital transformation efforts, ensuring cost effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement IT strategic roadmaps that support financial and business goals.Provide general project management oversight over the entire strategic roadmaps and project initiatives and providing consistent reporting and visibility on project timelines and projects to the Chief Business Development & Corporate Affairs Officer.Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.Collaborate with the Executive team to optimize technology investments and cost management.Collaborate with cross functional teams to strengthen partnerships across the organization.Position IT as a key stakeholder to deliver corporate strategy.Responsible for IT infrastructure, security and provision for disaster recovery. Maintain security for our client's proprietary data and provide for the complete backup of all systems.Accountable for the compliance of IT General Controls in line with guidelines for a public company.Ensure compliance with ICFR, SEC regulations and other financial regulations as well as best in class data security standards.Lead the IT team fostering innovation and operational excellence and responsiveness to the needs of the business.Manage IT budgets and vendor relationships in accordance with Company policies.Drive digital transformation and automation initiatives to improve business efficiency or effective operations.Evaluate emerging technologies for financial and operational impact including AI solutions compliant with the cybersecurity environment.Support financial reporting and analytics through advanced IT solutions.Report on a quarterly basis to the Board of Directors on the compliance of the Cybersecurity program and other initiatives on the IT strategic roadmap.Strong cross functional correspondence and an operational mindset to execute in a timely, and expeditious manner to unlock business momentum and improve operations.Other duties as assigned.Requirements10-15 years of progressive IT experience5-10 years of IT leadership experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Technology Management, or a related field is required.PMP certification is an asset.Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and enterprise financial systemsExperience managing IT budgetsExperience managing shadow ITExcellent leadership, communication and strategic IT planning skillsAbility to lead and motivate teamsStrong project management skillsStrong change management and organizational transformation capabilitiesProven track record managing technology budgets, vendors, and complex projectsDemonstrated experience developing and implementing enterprise technology strategiesOther Details This is a full-time, remote-first position based out of Ontario.Note: The chosen applicant will be required to successfully complete background and reference checks as well as a possible case study as part of the review process.
