قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجCore ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and operational legal advice to business units, supporting the Property and Casualty insurance portfolio in alignment with organizational objectives.Support the SVP, Legal Affairs by preparing legal opinions, recommendations, and analyses on complex legal, regulatory, and governance matters.Escalate material legal risks, high-value disputes, and sensitive regulatory matters to the SVP with clear options and risk assessments.Ensure ongoing compliance with UAE laws, insurance regulations, and internal policies applicable to the P&C business.Implement and operationalize legal policies, frameworks, and governance standards approved by senior legal leadership.Support regulatory inspections, inquiries, and reporting requirements in coordination with the SVP, Legal Affairs, preparing legal reports, risk assessments, and compliance updates for executive management and the board.Provide legal oversight across P&C underwriting, claims, product development, policy wordings, and distribution arrangements.Review, negotiate, and approve contracts, broker and TPA agreements, and reinsurance documentation within delegated authority levels.Support business initiatives by identifying legal risks and contributing to compliant and commercially sound solutions.Manage litigation, arbitration, and claims disputes within approved legal strategies and budgets.Coordinate fraud-related legal actions and recovery efforts in collaboration with relevant internal functions.Oversee external counsel performance, ensuring timely reporting and escalation of critical matters to the SVP.Identify and assess legal and regulatory risks across assigned business areas, ensuring legal input is integrated into business decisions, new initiatives, and operational changes.Manage day-to-day legal operations to support business timelines and priorities, monitoring external legal spend and reporting variances to the SVP, Legal Affairs.Train, mentor, and support the professional development of Legal Affairs team members, promoting UAE national workforce integration within the team.Quality & Excellence ManagementContribute to enterprise risk management and internal control processes, including legal risk reporting.Conduct performance evaluations to ensure professional development and operational excellence within the Legal Affairs team.Drive continuous improvement in legal processes, documentation standards, and service delivery.Encourage cross-department collaboration to enhance legal service efficiency and corporate compliance initiatives.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Law or a related field.Master's degree in Law or a related field.Certified UAE Legal Consultant Registration, Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), or equivalent, is a plus.A minimum of 12+ years of experience in legal affairs, including at least 5 years within an insurance company.
