This position is for a client of Viète Group.Role Description The Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in the Danbury, Connecticut, responsible for overseeing engineering and manufacturing. This position leads cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams, sets strategic direction, and ensures that product development, software initiatives, and production processes are tightly integrated and aligned with business goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the engineering and manufacturing teams, defining standards, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement in quality, safety, cost, and delivery performance. The role collaborates closely with executive leadership, product, operations, and quality teams to translate market and customer requirements into scalable solutions and robust manufacturing capabilities. The Vice President also mentors leaders, builds succession plans, and fosters a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in engineering management and team leadership, including building, coaching, and scaling multidisciplinary technical and manufacturing teams.Hands-on experience in product manufacturing, with a track record of delivering complex products in MedTech, Healthcare, or Manufacturing environments.Strong project management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and execution across multiple concurrent engineering and manufacturing initiatives.Proven ability to integrate engineering and manufacturing strategies, optimize production processes, and implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).Experience working with regulated industries; familiarity with relevant standards and requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, quality systems) is highly beneficial.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.Prior senior leadership experience in MedTech, Healthcare, or industrial manufacturing preferredRelocation to Danbury CT required.
