This role is ideal for a senior engineering leader with a proven track record of building secure, scalable systems in high-growth or startup environments.As a key member of the leadership team, you will define our long-term engineering vision, guide architectural decisions, mentor a growing team, and lead the responsible adoption of AI across the engineering organization. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver enterprise-grade, data-driven solutions for the evolving open finance landscape.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategySet and drive the long-term technical vision and engineering roadmap, including a practical AI strategy that supports the Company’s business and product objectivesLead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering teamFoster a collaborative, innovative engineering culture aligned with company valuesTechnical OversightOwn end-to-end architecture and execution for all technical initiativesEnsure adherence to engineering best practices, including code quality, security, performance, and scalabilityLead the adoption of AI-enabled engineering tools and workflows to accelerate software development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and delivery while maintaining appropriate security, privacy, quality, and governance controlsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment and deliveryCommunicate technical concepts clearly to executive and non-technical stakeholdersOperational ExcellenceOversee project timelines, delivery milestones, and engineering resource allocationImplement and uphold rigorous QA, testing, deployment, and operational standards, using AI-enabled automation where it can improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery speedManage engineering budgets, tools, and infrastructure investmentsTalent & Team BuildingRecruit, develop, and retain top engineering talentBuild an inclusive and results-oriented engineering cultureMentor engineers at all levels and lead by exampleRequirements:10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership rolesProven success scaling engineering teams and systems in startup or high-growth environmentsExpertise in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and data systemsFamiliarity with modern SDLC practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code review, Agile methodologies, and AI-assisted software developmentDemonstrated ability to evaluate, implement, and scale AI tools responsibly across engineering teams, with appropriate attention to security, data privacy, intellectual property, quality, and governanceExperience with compliance, data privacy, or fintech regulations is a strong plusStrong strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication skillsComfortable navigating ambiguity and leading in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentThis position is based in New York City office and requires in-office presence five days per week.Collaborate in-person with teams at our New York City office to drive initiatives
