Vice President – Executive Protection, Travel Risk & Medical SecurityAbout the Opportunity:A rapidly growing international security and risk management organization is seeking a visionary leader to design and build a world-class Executive Protection, Travel Risk Management, and Medical Security practice. This is not a role to manage an existing program. This is an opportunity to architect an industry-leading capability from the ground up, serving Fortune 500 organizations, executive leadership teams, family offices, and high-profile clients operating globally. The successful candidate will have significant influence over strategy, operating model, technology, partnerships, staffing, and global expansion. The ideal candidate is a builder—not simply an operator. They have transformed concepts into scalable, profitable service lines, understand both operational excellence and executive client expectations, and are passionate about creating an industry-leading capability. The First 12 Months – The Build Mandate:This role is measured on what exists at the end of year one that did not exist when the successful candidate walked in. The mandate is deliberately concrete:Days 1–90 — Define the practice. Deliver the service architecture, operating model, and pricing framework for Executive Protection, Travel Risk Management, and Medical Security, including where we deliver directly versus through partners.Days 1–90 — Assess what we already have. Audit current protective work, client commitments, GSOC and intelligence capability, and internal talent, and tell executive leadership plainly what is strong, what is exposed, and what must be rebuilt.Days 90–180 — Stand up the core. Publish global standards, SOPs, training requirements, and quality assurance; establish 24/7 travel risk and medical response coverage; execute the first tier of partner agreements across regional protection, medical assistance, aviation, intelligence, and emergency response.Days 90–180 — Prove it commercially. Convert the capability into revenue: secure the first referenceable client engagements, with a defined margin structure and a repeatable proposal and program design package the wider organization can sell.Days 180–365 — Scale it. Extend delivery coverage across priority regions, build out the technology stack supporting traveler tracking, case management, and reporting, and hire the initial core team against a staffing plan you own.Days 180–365 — Own the number. Carry the practice P&L, present a validated three-year growth plan to executive leadership, and demonstrate a pipeline that justifies continued investment. We’re looking for candidates who are energized by the opportunity to build, shape, and evolve this work. The ideal candidate will be excited by the prospect of creating and driving the work forward, rather than stepping into an initiative that is already fully established.Responsibilities:Design and implement an enterprise Executive Protection program.Develop a comprehensive Travel Risk Management program, including traveler tracking, intelligence, crisis response, and executive support.Build a global Medical Security capability, including medical assistance, evacuation planning, provider networks, and emergency response.Establish global standards, SOPs, training, governance, and quality assurance.Develop strategic partnerships with regional Executive Protection providers, medical assistance organizations, aviation partners, intelligence providers, and emergency response vendors.Lead program design for Fortune 500 and multinational clients.Build scalable operational models supported by technology and global service delivery.Work closely with executive leadership to define long-term strategy and service offerings.Recruit and develop a high-performing team as the practice grows.Preferred Background:We are seeking candidates who have successfully built or significantly expanded executive protection, travel security, or medical security programs within organizations such as:Private security providersFortune 500 Corporate Security organizationsQualifications:10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Executive Protection, Corporate Security, Global Risk, Intelligence, or Protective Operations.Demonstrated experience building enterprise-level Executive Protection or Travel Risk programs.Experience overseeing global operations across multiple countries.Strong knowledge of executive travel security, protective intelligence, crisis management, and medical response.Experience building vendor networks and strategic partnerships.Budget ownership and executive leadership experience.Strong client-facing and business development skills are highly desirable.Extensive pre-employment screening process.Pay & Benefits:Salary Range: $175,000-$190,000/yrExecutive-level compensation package, bonus, and long-term growth opportunity.Health, Dental, and Vision offered401(k)We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
