Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Vice President of Global Supply Chain is responsible for developing and leading the company’s global supply chain strategy. This executive will oversee sourcing, procurement, supplier management, logistics, inventory planning, distribution, and supply chain operations across multiple regions.The role requires a strategic leader who can build scalable supply chain systems, improve operational efficiency, reduce risk and cost, and ensure reliable delivery to customers worldwide.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the company’s global supply chain strategy in alignment with business growth objectives.Lead global procurement, sourcing, logistics, inventory management, demand planning, and distribution operations.Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, and business partners.Improve supply chain efficiency, service levels, lead times, inventory turnover, and overall operating costs.Build supplier qualification, evaluation, performance management, and risk-control systems.Lead contract negotiations and secure competitive pricing, service terms, quality standards, and delivery commitments.Develop demand forecasting and supply planning processes in collaboration with sales, finance, operations, and customer service teams.Identify geopolitical, regulatory, financial, operational, and supplier-related risks and implement appropriate contingency plans.Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, environmental standards, and company policies.Implement supply chain technologies, analytics, automation, and reporting systems to improve visibility and decision-making.Establish key performance indicators and provide regular supply chain performance reports to executive leadership.Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing international supply chain organization.Support new market entry, product launches, acquisitions, and global expansion initiatives.Promote continuous improvement, operational excellence, sustainability, and ethical sourcing throughout the supply chain.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.MBA or advanced degree preferred.At least 12 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, or global operations.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior executive or enterprise-level leadership position.Proven experience managing complex, multinational supply chains and international supplier networks.Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory planning, logistics, contract negotiation, and supplier management.Experience managing significant budgets and delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements.Strong understanding of international trade, customs, regulatory compliance, and global supply chain risk.Experience with ERP, supply chain planning, procurement, and business intelligence platforms.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively across different cultures, regions, and time zones.Willingness to travel internationally as required.Preferred ExperienceExperience working in a high-growth, technology-driven, manufacturing, consumer products, luxury goods, logistics, or international trading organization.Experience implementing global supply chain transformation programs.Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP platforms.Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, CPIM, or Six Sigma are preferred.Key Performance IndicatorsSupplier quality and on-time deliveryProcurement cost savingsInventory turnover and inventory accuracyOrder fulfillment and customer service levelsLogistics and transportation costsForecast accuracy and planning efficiencySupply chain risk reductionWorking-capital improvementTeam performance and organizational developmentLeadership ExpectationsThe successful candidate will be a commercially minded and results-oriented executive who combines strategic vision with hands-on operational leadership.
