The successful candidate will lead a sizeable SaaS engineering function, helping shape the next phase of the company's technology strategy, delivery capability, engineering culture, and operational excellence.The business operates with a modern engineering environment including C#/.NET, cloud-native infrastructure, mature CI/CD practices, and emerging AI-enabled software development tooling. The focus now is on scaling engineering effectiveness, accelerating product delivery, and building a best-in-class technology organisation capable of supporting ambitious growth objectives.The OpportunityReporting to the executive leadership team, the VP Software Engineering will be responsible for leading and evolving the software engineering organisation across multiple teams and disciplines.Key responsibilities include:Defining and executing the engineering strategy aligned to business and product objectivesLeading organisational transformation initiatives to improve engineering effectiveness, scalability, and delivery performanceBuilding and developing high-performing engineering leadership teamsDriving modern software engineering practices across architecture, development, testing, security, and operationsPartnering closely with Product, Customer Success, and Commercial leadership to deliver customer value at paceLeveraging AI-assisted development capabilities and automation to improve productivity and qualityStrengthening engineering governance, metrics, planning, and operational excellenceCreating a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and talent developmentCandidate ProfileWe are seeking a strategic engineering executive with a strong track record within B2B SaaS environments.The ideal candidate will bring:Significant experience leading and scaling product-led software engineering organisations in SaaS or software product companiesPrior experience operating within a private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformation environmentDemonstrated success leading organisational and cultural transformation across engineering teamsStrong technical foundation with experience in modern software engineering ecosystems, ideally including Cloud platforms, Modern DevOps and CI/CD practices, Platform engineering & automation and AI-powered developer tooling and engineering productivity solutionsExperience managing engineering leaders and distributed teamsStrong commercial awareness and an ability to align technology investment with business outcomesExecutive-level stakeholder management and communication skillsEssential RequirementsNative-level or highly fluent professional German (C2/C3 equivalent)Based in GermanyEligibility to work within GermanyWhy This Role?This is an opportunity to shape the future of a well-established SaaS business at a defining moment in its journey.
