The environment supports remote work, modern tooling, and professional growth for technical and leadership talent.Role Description The Vice President of Technical Systems is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the design, development, and operation of core software and cloud-based platforms. This role leads engineering teams, defines technical strategy, and ensures that systems architecture aligns with product and business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing software development initiatives, collaborating with product management on roadmaps and priorities, and directing the implementation of scalable, secure solutions in cloud environments. The VP will set coding and quality standards, mentor technical leaders, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to improve performance, reliability, and delivery processes. This position also evaluates new technologies, manages vendor relationships where applicable, and provides clear communication of technical plans and risks to executive stakeholders.Qualifications Strong experience in Software Development leadership, including managing engineering teams and large-scale technical initiatives.Background in Product Management or close partnership with product teams to define requirements, roadmaps, and delivery plans.Hands-on expertise with Java and C#, including modern frameworks, best practices, and secure coding standards.Deep knowledge of Cloud Computing platforms and services, with experience designing, deploying, and operating distributed systems.Proven track record in technical strategy, systems architecture, and decision-making at a senior or executive level.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional, and diverse environment.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
