Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Vice President of Operations provides executive leadership and operational oversight across all Newsom Eye clinics and Surgery Centers (TSC, NSCS, ESC). This role ensures consistent, high‑quality patient care, efficient workflow, regulatory readiness, and strong collaboration with physicians and department leaders. The VP of Operations drives performance, standardization, and growth across a multi‑location ophthalmology and ASC network.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership Across Clinics & ASCsOversee daily operations for all Newsom Eye clinics and Surgery Centers, ensuring smooth patient flow, efficient scheduling, and consistent service delivery.Maintain a strong onsite presence across locations to identify workflow gaps and implement real‑time solutions.Partner with ASC leadership to optimize OR utilization, turnover efficiency, staffing, and surgical throughput.Ensure alignment between clinic operations, ASC operations, and physician expectations.Strategic Planning & Organizational GrowthCollaborate with executive leadership and physician partners to execute strategic initiatives and support expansion of clinical and surgical services.Lead operational planning for new providers, new locations, and new service lines.Support integration of advanced technologies, equipment, and surgical innovations.Regulatory & Accreditation ComplianceEnsure continuous readiness for AHCA, JCAHO, AAAHC, CLIA, DEA, and other regulatory bodies across clinics and Surgery Centers.Lead onsite inspections, prepare documentation, and oversee corrective action plans.Standardize compliance processes across all locations to maintain accreditation and safety standards.Leadership & Team DevelopmentCoach and develop clinic managers, ASC leadership, and department supervisors to strengthen operational performance.Build a culture of accountability, communication, and patient‑centered care.Partner with HR on staffing needs, performance management, and leadership development.Performance, Metrics & Quality ImprovementMonitor KPIs related to patient flow, wait times, surgical volume, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.Identify trends and implement process improvements across clinics and ASCs.Ensure consistent execution of workflows, protocols, and service standards.Patient Experience & Service ExcellenceDrive initiatives that enhance the patient experience across all Newsom Eye locations.Address escalated patient concerns and ensure timely resolution.Promote a culture of empathy, communication, and professionalism.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.5+ years of healthcare operations leadership, ideally in ophthalmology or ASC settings.Proven success managing multi‑site operations in a high‑volume environment.Strong knowledge of regulatory bodies (AHCA, JCAHO, AAAHC, CLIA, DEA).Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.Ability to thrive in a hands‑on, fast‑paced operational role.
