This leader oversees day-to-day operations, including resource planning, workflow optimization, and coordination across project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and safety standards. The role includes responsibility for P&L performance, forecasting, and cost control, as well as developing and executing operational strategies that support company growth and client satisfaction. The Vice President Operations partners closely with project managers, field leadership, and senior executives to improve processes, implement best practices, and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. This position also leads and mentors operational staff, supports talent development, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and safety.Qualifications Strong Operations Management experience in construction or a related commercial contracting environment, with proven ability to manage multi-site or complex projects.Demonstrated P&L Management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and financial performance analysis.Excellent Customer Service orientation, with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships and managing expectations proactively.Strategic Planning capabilities, including setting operational goals, developing improvement initiatives, and aligning operations with organizational objectives.Hands-on Project Management expertise, overseeing schedules, resources, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination.Leadership experience managing diverse teams, including coaching, performance management, and succession planning.Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, field teams, and clients.Knowledge of construction industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices; experience in specialty commercial contracting is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
