This role is responsible for executing enterprise platform initiatives and delivering system transformation projects across the organization. The VP/AVP will lead the day-to-day execution of platform migrations, consolidations, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal business disruption. This is a hands-on delivery role. The successful candidate will work directly with engineering teams, architects, operations, data teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to drive project plans into execution. The role requires strong program management discipline, technical fluency, structured execution capability, and the ability to resolve issues quickly in complex environments. Success will be measured by timely and successful delivery of migration and modernization initiatives, smooth cutovers with minimal operational impact, improved system stability, and effective coordination across global teams. This role is hybrid, based in Exchange Quay, M5 3EF, UK.Responsibilities: Project & Program ExecutionWork with the SVP and transformation teams to develop and own the long-term platform and systems transformation roadmap.Work with the transformation and platform SMEs to execute enterprise platform migrations, consolidations, and upgrade initiatives.Work closely with the project teams to build and manage detailed project plans, milestones, RAID logs, and delivery reportingCoordinate cross-functional workstreams including engineering, infrastructure, data, compliance, and operationsDrive accountability across teams to ensure delivery deadlines are metActively manage dependencies, risks, scope changes, and issue resolutionPlatform ModernisationWork closely with the SMEs to oversee execution of data migrations, system integrations, and platform transitions.Replace or modernise legacy applicationsStandardise platforms to reduce complexity and technical debt.Drive API first and integration strategies.Coordinate testing cycles (SIT, UAT, performance testing) and manage defect remediationSupport cutover planning and execution to ensure smooth transition to new platformsEnsure legacy systems are decommissioned in a controlled and structured mannerTrack and validate data integrity and system stability post-migrationOperational CoordinationPartner with operational leaders to ensure business readiness for platform changesCoordinate training, documentation, and user transition activitiesMonitor post-implementation performance and drive stabilization activitiesEscalate issues quickly and drive structured resolution.Platform OversightFoster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Monitor platform performance metrics and ensure service levels are maintainedCoordinate upgrades, patches, and release cycles with engineering and admin teamsEnsure platform changes follow governance, security, and compliance standardsMaintain accurate system documentation and change recordsVendor & Budget SupportWork directly with external vendors and implementation partners to track delivery progressEnsure vendor deliverables align with contractual commitmentsTrack project budgets and resource allocationSupport cost control through disciplined scope managementFinancial & Risk ManagementConduct ROI analysis for platform initiatives and ensure value realizationIdentify and mitigate risks associated with platform operations and transformationsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and security standardsRequired Qualifications5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology leadership roles5+ years of experience managing large-scale platform environments and complex system migrations5+ years in senior leadership positions with direct reports and large team managementProven track record of successful enterprise-wide platform transformations and consolidationsExceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into technology solutionsStrong executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in a global, matrixed organization with distributed teamsTrack record of vendor negotiation and contract managementKnowledge of emerging technologiesExperience in highly regulated industries (financial services)International work experience and cultural awarenessWhat's in it for you?• Luxurious office environment in a superb location• 31+ days’ holidays per year including 8 bank holidays• Healthcare Scheme*• Company pension plan• Allocated Parking Space• Life Assurance* • Salary Sacrifice Cycle2work & Electric Car schemes** There is a qualifying period for these benefits.
