Vice President - Trade & Structured Commodity Finance

Apply & track with Apply EdgeA leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its Trade & Structured Commodity Finance team. This is a front-office origination role focused on developing and executing trade finance and structured commodity finance transactions across Financial Institutions, commodity traders, National Oil Companies (NOCs), and International Oil Companies (IOCs) throughout the MENA region.
Key Responsibilities
Originate and execute trade finance and structured commodity finance transactions across MENA and Africa.Develop and manage relationships with Financial Institutions, commodity traders, NOCs, and IOCs.Structure and execute working capital facilities, revolving credit facilities, receivables financing, guarantees, and syndicated transactions.Manage transactions from initial client engagement through approval, execution, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.Lead credit assessment and transaction structuring, including preparation and presentation of credit proposals to internal approval committees.Work closely with Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.Contribute to business growth initiatives and the continued development of the Trade & Structured Commodity Finance platform.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within Trade Finance, Structured Trade Finance, Commodity Finance, Financial Institutions Coverage, or Transaction Banking.Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and transaction origination.Strong network across banks, commodity traders, energy companies, NOCs, and IOCs within the GCC and wider MENA region.Experience with Letters of Credit (LCs), LC Confirmations, Bank Guarantees, FI Credit Lines, Working Capital Facilities, Revolving Credit Facilities, Receivables Financing, and Syndicated Lending.Strong credit analysis and risk assessment capabilities, with experience presenting transactions for approval.Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, structure solutions, and manage transactions end-to-end.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Arabic language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.Ideal Background:We are particularly interested in professionals from international and leading regional banks with exposure to:Trade FinanceStructured Trade & Commodity FinanceCommodity FinanceGlobal Transaction Banking (GTB)Financial Institutions CoverageEnergy & Natural Resources FinanceCorporate Banking with a Trade Finance focusThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced banking professional to join a growing platform focused on trade and structured commodity finance across the MENA region, with exposure to complex transactions, leading regional counterparties, and significant client-facing responsibility.
