Video Engineer (C++)Berlin, Germany - HybridPermanent RoleUp to €90,000Are you a C++ engineer passionate about building high-performance video streaming systems used by millions of viewers?A growing digital media and streaming technology company is looking for a Video Engineer to help develop and scale the systems that power large-scale video delivery. In this role, you’ll work on high-performance C++ services running in distributed environments, contributing to a custom CDN platform responsible for caching, packaging, DRM encryption, and delivering video content. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across video ingestion, playback, infrastructure and data systems, helping design scalable solutions, maintain data pipelines, debug complex production issues, and ensure reliable delivery of streaming content to end users.Essential Skills RequiredStrong experience with modern C++ and high-performance system developmentExperience working with high-load distributed systems on Unix/Linux environmentsUnderstanding of video streaming technologies (e.g. HLS, DASH, FFmpeg)Experience debugging and maintaining production systems operating at scaleStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teamsProfessional working proficiency in EnglishNice to HaveExperience with CDN architecture, caching strategies, or edge computingFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerised environmentsExperience with Go or Python in backend servicesInterested in building technology that delivers video at scale?Apply now to learn more about this opportunity and join a team shaping the future of streaming technology.5V Video are acting as an Employment Agency for the purposes of this job vacancy.
