Your job is to find the strongest angle behind every story and turn it into powerful copy for social-first video content.What You Will Do* Write high-impact hooks for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and other short-form video content* Create video briefs for our journalists, correspondents and videographers before they film on location* Write headlines and on-screen copy that immediately capture attention* Develop the strongest creative angle for each robotics story* Write short-form video scripts designed around attention, retention and shareability* Create compelling captions and social copy* Develop questions, challenges, experiments and scenarios for our field teams to execute on camera* Turn complex or technical robotics topics into simple, exciting and highly engaging stories* Create multiple hook and headline variations and identify the strongest approach* Find the human, surprising, emotional, controversial or unexpected angle that can transform a robotics story into must-watch contentWhat We Are Looking ForYou are an exceptional writer with a deep understanding of social media attention and viral storytelling.You know that the first few words can determine whether someone keeps scrolling or watches the entire video.You understand:* Hooks and scroll-stopping headlines* Short-form storytelling* Curiosity gaps* Audience retention* Emotional triggers* Shareability and conversation* How to simplify complex subjects without making them inaccurateYou should be able to look at a robot, technology or story and immediately think:What is the strongest story here?What would make millions of people care about this?What is the hook?Experience writing for high-growth social media accounts, digital publishers, media companies or viral video brands is highly preferred.Experience in robotics or technology is an advantage, but exceptional writing ability and an instinct for viral content are more important.We are not looking for generic corporate copy.We are looking for someone who can take a story that sounds technical or ordinary and turn it into something people have to watch.
