Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops in International Hotel ManagementDevelop and update teaching materials aligned with current industry trends and academic standardsAssess student performance through assignments, projects, presentations, and examinationsProvide academic support, guidance, and feedback to studentsContribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of the moduleEngage in scholarly activities, research, or consultancy relevant to tourism and hospitalityCollaborate with industry partners and colleagues to enhance the student learning experienceParticipate in departmental meetings, programme review processes, and academic committeesPromote international perspectives in hospitality education, including sustainability, digitalization, and cross-cultural managementEssential Qualifications & Experience:Master’s degree or higher in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (PhD preferred)Teaching experience in higher education, particularly in hotel or hospitality managementPractical experience or strong knowledge of the international hotel industryAbility to develop and deliver engaging, student-centered teachingExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsDesirable:Fellowship or willingness to obtain a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCertHE, FHEA)Experience with virtual learning environments (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard)Record of research or publications in hospitality or tourism managementIndustry certifications (e.g. in hotel operations, revenue management, or sustainability)Application Requirements:CVCover LetterTeaching Philosophy StatementEvidence of teaching excellence (optional but encouraged)
