VISITING LECTURER – FASHION DESIGNING & DRESSMAKINGLocation: Colombo / Nugegoda, Sri LankaJob Type: Part-time | Visiting LecturerWorking Hours: 2 hours per class, on a weekly basisWe are looking for a Visiting Lecturer in Fashion Designing and Dressmaking to conduct our Certificate in Fashion Designing and Dressmaking programme.The programme is conducted by a non-profit organisation focused on women’s empowerment and is designed for school leavers and individuals who wish to develop skills to start a career or entrepreneurship in the fashion industry.Key Responsibilities* Develop and structure the course syllabus and lesson plans.* Conduct weekly lectures and practical training sessions.* Explain fashion designing and dressmaking concepts clearly and practically.* Provide students with practical knowledge relevant to the fashion industry.* Guide students in developing their technical and creative skills.* Conduct demonstrations, assignments and practical activities where required.* Support students in understanding the fundamentals needed for a career or business in fashion.* Maintain a positive, professional and supportive learning environment.Requirements* Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Fashion Designing, Fashion Design and Dressmaking, or a related field.* Good knowledge of fashion designing and dressmaking techniques.* Ability to develop a structured syllabus and deliver effective lessons.* Practical industry knowledge and/or teaching or training experience will be an advantage.* Good communication and presentation skills.* Patient, approachable and comfortable working with students.* Passionate about teaching and helping learners develop practical skills.* Willingness to work on a visiting, part-time basis.What We Offer* Opportunity to contribute to a women’s empowerment initiative.* Flexible visiting lecturer arrangement.* Opportunity to work with students preparing for careers and entrepreneurship in fashion.* A platform to share your professional knowledge and industry experience.How to ApplyApply through LinkedIn
