JOB PURPOSE: The VM Specialist is responsible for driving retail space optimisation, store layout planning and visual standards across BinSina Pharmacy's store network. This role bridges data, design and project execution. Leveraging existing tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and Excel to manage the Space Matrix, support store openings and refurbishments, and ensure that every BinSina retail environment is commercially effective, brand-compliant and customer-friendly.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Manage and maintain the Space Matrix and Master Space Matrix across all BinSina stores, ensuring data is current, accurate and accessible.Develop and update store layouts, floor plans and space planning documents.Support store opening, closure and refurbishment projects. From initial concept through to on-site execution and handover.Conduct regular space reviews to identify opportunities to improve sales density, category adjacencies and customer flow.Prepare and manage project trackers, BOQs, CAPEX feasibility reports and budget summaries in Excel.Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.Maintain and share project documentation including drawings, as-built plans, MEP layouts, elevations and signage files.Manage screen content planning for UAE and Oman stores, including layouts, specifications and scheduling.Support the VM Manager in developing and implementing visual merchandising guidelines and brand standards.Track pending actions, open project items and follow up proactively to ensure deadlines are met.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Design or a related field. Diploma holders with strong relevant experience will also be considered.Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in visual merchandising, space planning or retail design, preferably within pharmacy, health & beauty or FMCG retail.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Job Specific: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp for space planning and layout work is a major plus. Comfortable working with Excel for trackers, budgets and data management. Familiarity with retail space planning concepts and store layout principles. Experience working with or building Space Matrix tools is an advantage. Basic understanding of CAPEX or project budgeting is preferred but not mandatory.Generic Skills: Strong analytical and numerical aptitude; excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure; clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, self-driven and proactive with strong follow-through.
