Role DescriptionThe Voice AI Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing voice AI solutions that power xAIa’s AI employees across diverse industries and use cases. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and integrating speech recognition, natural language understanding, and dialogue management components, as well as configuring multilingual capabilities and regional Arabic dialects. The Voice AI Engineer collaborates closely with product, data, and client implementation teams to translate business requirements into robust voice AI workflows. The role also includes monitoring and improving existing deployments, conducting experiments, analyzing voice interaction data, and implementing enhancements to accuracy, latency, and user experience.QualificationsExperience building and deploying conversational voice agents in production, including prompt engineering, conversation flow design and multi-agent architectureStrong hands-on API integration experience: REST, webhooks, authentication, error handling and retriesProven experience connecting applications to CRM and ERP systems such as Odoo, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, SugarCRM or Dynamics, including customer lookup, record creation and writing structured data backAbility to sit with a client, map how their team currently handles calls, and translate that into agent logic, escalation rules and handover pointsUnderstanding of the speech-to-text, reasoning and text-to-speech pipeline, and how latency, turn detection and interruption handling affect a live callBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
