Our new program aims to support Afghan girls, who are denied their basic rights to education, by enhancing their English language skills and opening doors to academic and personal growth.Role Overview:As a Volunteer English Teacher, you'll be crucial in helping Afghan girls build their English language skills. This remote position involves teaching students at various proficiency levels and offering support to ensure their success.

Key Responsibilities

Teach English: Conduct virtual classes to teach English language skills, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening.Engage and Support: Provide interactive lessons and support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their needs.Assess Progress: Evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.Collaborate: Work with other volunteers and the NSDE team to ensure a cohesive learning experience for all students.

Qualifications

Education: Any educational background is welcome. We highly encourage high school or university students with strong English language skills to apply as well.Eligibility: Open to applicants from all countries. Proficiency in local Afghan languages (Persian and Pashto) is not required but is a plus.Experience: Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus but not required.Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.Availability: Ability to commit 3-6 hours per week for the duration of the program.
