The community is dedicated to challenging limits, building confidence, and helping members turn their aspirations into sustainable ventures.Role Description The Volunteer Mobile App Developer (iOS and Android) will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining Neuro Voices’ mobile applications to support the community’s programs and resources. This remote volunteer role involves implementing new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance across iOS and Android platforms. The developer will collaborate with organizers and other volunteers to translate user needs into functional app components, integrate back-end services and databases, and ensure a consistent user experience. The role also includes testing, documenting code, and suggesting improvements to architecture and workflows to enhance accessibility and usability for neurodivergent users.QualificationsAbility to apply Software Development fundamentals to build and maintain mobile applications.Proficiency in Programming for iOS and Android (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, Java, or cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter).Experience working with Databases for storing, retrieving, and managing application data.Knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) or similar styling approaches for user interface design and layout.Skills in Integration of APIs, third-party services, and back-end systems into mobile applications.Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Understanding of accessibility best practices and inclusive design principles.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a volunteer, remote environment.Previous experience in mobile app development and interest in supporting neurodivergent founders is highly beneficial.
