The role requires a passionate individual who can coordinate volunteers, build partnerships, develop impactful initiatives, and ensure that organizational activities align with the mission of promoting democracy, civic participation, youth leadership, and empowerment across Nigeria.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development- Design and develop innovative projects aligned with the organization's thematic areas.- Prepare annual and quarterly program implementation plans.- Develop concept notes and project work plans.- Ensure programs address community needs and organizational priorities.Program Implementation- Coordinate the execution of all organizational projects and activities.- Supervise volunteers assigned to various programs.- Ensure activities are implemented on schedule and within available resources.- Coordinate trainings, workshops, community outreaches, and civic engagement campaigns.Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning- Develop program monitoring tools.- Track project outputs, outcomes, and impact.- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports.- Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement- Build relationships with government agencies, civil society organizations, donors, youth groups, and community leaders.- Represent RUBAN YOUTHS during meetings and stakeholder engagements when assigned.- Identify collaboration opportunities that expand organizational impact.Grant and Proposal Support- Support the Executive Director in identifying funding opportunities.- Assist in preparing grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports.- Maintain program documentation required by partners and funders.Volunteer Management- Recruit, onboard, and coordinate project volunteers.- Assign responsibilities and monitor volunteer performance.- Organize volunteer orientation and capacity-building sessions.Compliance and Quality Assurance- Ensure projects comply with organizational policies and donor requirements.- Promote safeguarding, accountability, and ethical standards in all activities.Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Political Science, Education, or related fields.- At least 2 years of experience in project management, community development, youth development, or nonprofit work (volunteer experience counts).- Strong project planning and coordination skills.- Excellent report writing and communication skills.- Experience in proposal development is an advantage.- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.- Passion for democracy, civic engagement, and youth development.Preferred Skills- Leadership and team management.- Project planning and execution.- Monitoring and evaluation.- Partnership development.- Public speaking and facilitation.- Problem-solving and organizational skills.- Time management and attention to detail.Expected Deliverables- Annual program calendar.- Monthly implementation reports.- Quarterly program performance reports.- Project concept notes.- Partnership database.- Volunteer engagement reports.- Documentation of organizational impact.
