A Vice President (VP) of Airfreight directs the global or regional air cargo strategy, P&L management, and operational network performance for a logistics or aviation company. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning: Develop 3-to-5-year airfreight strategies covering digital transformation, route optimization, and sustainability initiatives. Network & Capacity Management: Design scalable regional networks, manage block-space agreements, and secure long-term airline partnerships. Commercial Leadership: Oversee pricing structures, profit margins, and high-value customer accounts in collaboration with sales. P&L & Financial Accountability: Own overall revenue targets, cost reduction, and budget performance for the air cargo division. Regulatory & Industry Compliance: Ensure adherence to international aviation rules (IATA, customs regulations) and safety standards.
