VP, Financial Analytics & Research | Remote | High-Visibility Executive RoleA leading insurance industry organization is seeking a Vice President, Financial Analytics & Research to lead financial analysis, research, data analytics, and strategic decision support. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with senior leadership and reports directly to the SVP of Finance & Analytics.The position will oversee a small analytics function while serving as a senior resource on insurance financial reporting, accounting, capital, regulatory, and market-related matters. The role combines technical financial expertise with executive-level analysis and communication.Key ResponsibilitiesLead financial research, analytics, reporting, and data-driven initiatives supporting senior leadership and organizational priorities.Analyze P&C insurance and reinsurance financial statements, including statutory and GAAP reporting.Evaluate accounting, regulatory, capital, tax, and market developments and translate complex information into actionable analysis.Develop financial models, scenario analyses, dashboards, reports, and executive presentations.Analyze NAIC and other industry financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Support analysis related to insurer capital, solvency, risk management, and financial performance.Partner with senior finance, accounting, actuarial, risk, and regulatory professionals.Present complex financial and analytical topics to executive and non-technical audiences.Lead, mentor, and develop analytics/research team members.Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics and emerging technologies to improve decision-making.QualificationsCPA required.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Public accounting experience strongly preferred, particularly experience with insurance clients.7+ years of progressive experience in insurance/reinsurance, public accounting, financial analysis, accounting, or related analytics.Strong understanding of P&C insurance financial reporting, U.S. GAAP, statutory accounting, and NAIC reporting.Experience analyzing insurer financial statements and financial data.Knowledge of insurance capital, solvency, and regulatory frameworks.Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Tableau or similar BI tools preferred.Strong quantitative, analytical, writing, presentation, and executive communication skills.Experience leading or mentoring an analytical or research team.OpportunityThis is a high-visibility, remote leadership opportunity with significant exposure to senior executives and industry stakeholders.
