The role drives manufacturing excellence through automation, process innovation, tooling, productivity improvement, and operational optimization.Working closely with Operations, Sales, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Development, and customers, the VP ensures manufacturing capabilities are aligned with business objectives, customer requirements, and future market opportunities, particularly within the automotive industry.Key focus isTo win large strategic programs by being more innovative and competitive andFlawlessly execute these programs in our global sites.This is one of the key roles to make ENNOVI successful in our industries.Main ResponsibilitiesGlobal Manufacturing Engineering LeadershipProvide strategic leadership and overall direction for the global Manufacturing Engineering function across all manufacturing locations.Build up a state of the art Innovation centre in Suzhou/Hangzhou comprising of all Engineering functionsDevelop and execute a comprehensive global manufacturing engineering strategy focused on productivity, quality, manufacturing capability, automation, and cost competitiveness.Establish engineering governance, standards, policies, best practices, and performance metrics across all sites.Create a Global Manufacturing Engineering organization: GME, RME, Site ME with clear roles and responsibilities and interfacesMake sure all our global sites launch programs flawlessly. Work very closely together with regional GMs and Plant Managers.Lead, coach, and develop global manufacturing engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Promote knowledge sharing, engineering excellence, and best-practice deployment across all manufacturing locations globally.Manufacturing Excellence & Operational PerformanceDrive operational excellence initiatives through process optimization, productivity improvements, waste reduction, and manufacturing efficiency enhancement.Lead continuous improvement programs utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Engineering, and other operational excellence methodologies.Establish and implement standardized manufacturing processes and engineering solutions across all facilities to improve scalability and consistency.Monitor and improve key manufacturing performance indicators including productivity, yield, OEE, quality, cycle time, and cost.Tooling, Automation & Manufacturing TechnologyEstablish global standards for tooling development, equipment selection, process controls, automation deployment, and manufacturing technologies.Drive innovation in tooling, prototyping, manufacturing processes, automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies to improve competitiveness and operational performance.Lead the evaluation, development, and implementation of emerging manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 initiatives.Ensure on-time delivery, qualification, and performance of tooling, manufacturing equipment, and production assets across all sites.Innovation & Competitive AdvantageLead the manufacturing technology roadmap to strengthen the company's competitive position and support future growth objectives.Identify and leverage emerging manufacturing technologies, market trends, and engineering innovations that create sustainable competitive advantage.Collaborate with Product Development and commercial teams to support Design-In opportunities, customer-specific solutions, and future product platforms.Support innovation and intellectual property development through advancement of manufacturing technologies, tooling concepts, process innovation, and industrialization solutions.Customer & Cross-Functional PartnershipPartner closely with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams to support strategic growth initiatives and business objectives.Serve as a senior technical leader in customer engagements involving manufacturing capability, industrialization strategy, automation, process development, and operational readiness.Support new business opportunities by providing technical leadership and manufacturing solutions that enhance customer confidence and competitiveness.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Manufacturing Engineering within complex manufacturing environments.Proven experience leading multi-site manufacturing engineering organizations within the automotive industry.Strong expertise in tooling (including stamping and molding), process engineering, automation, robotics, and operational excellence.Demonstrated success leading global engineering teams and driving large-scale productivity, quality, cost improvement, and manufacturing transformation initiatives.Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, including Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing, smart factory solutions, additive manufacturing, and next-generation manufacturing processes.Deep understanding of automotive manufacturing systems, launch processes, APQP, PPAP, OEM requirements, customer expectations, and market dynamics, including emerging EV players.Hands-on, accountable leader with a strong track record of execution and delivering business results.Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing engineering teams in global, cross-cultural, and matrixed environments.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into operational execution and sustainable competitive advantage.Entrepreneurial and performance-driven mindset aligned with ENNOVI's growth ambitions and transformation journey.Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Operations, Commercial, Engineering, Procurement, Product Development, and Customer organizations.Willingness to travel internationally as required to support global manufacturing operations, customer engagements, and strategic initiatives.
