VP of Engineering – Telecom / Network / VoIP

What You’ll DoDevelop engineering strategies, technical roadmaps, and deployment plans.Lead daily engineering operations, resource planning, milestones, and budgets.Translate business requirements into technical solutions and engineering roadmaps.Provide technical leadership across telecommunications, IP networking, VoIP, cybersecurity, and voice infrastructure.Lead cybersecurity initiatives for mission-critical communication platforms.Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams while remaining technically involved.Oversee engineering resources supporting DoD, commercial, NG911, and B2B managed services customers.Manage complex engineering projects from strategy through implementation.Drive technical quality, security, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.Support hiring and development of engineering talent.Required Qualifications10+ years of hands-on telecommunications and network engineering experience.7+ years managing engineering teams and complex project lifecycles.Strong telecommunications/telephony technical expertise.Strong experience with secure voice telephony.Hands-on knowledge of:IP NetworkingVoIPTelecommunications / Voice InfrastructureCybersecurityNG911Public Safety CommunicationsDemonstrated experience leading and motivating engineering teams.Ability to remain technically hands-on in a senior leadership position.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related field.U.S. Citizenship required.Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.Preferred ExperienceDoD or government customersExisting or prior security clearanceNG911 / emergency communicationsB2B managed servicesSecure communications and voice infrastructureSmall or mid-sized telecommunications/communications companiesMatrixed engineering organizationsTeam & EnvironmentYou’ll lead within a matrixed organization of approximately 7 engineers, supporting both DoD and commercial customers.
