VPC Yard Operation Management -Automotive Logistics

Responsible for managing day-to-day yard operations within the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC), ensuring efficient and safe movement, parking, inspection, storage, preparation, and dispatch of vehicles while maintaining inventory accuracy, vehicle quality, operational efficiency, and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage vehicle receiving, check-in, unloading, and yard entry processes.Coordinate vehicle movement from receiving areas to inspection, PDI, storage, loading, and dispatch locations.Ensure vehicles are parked in designated locations and update vehicle locations in the system.Monitor vehicle stock, aging units, damaged vehicles, and priority dispatch requirements.Conduct or coordinate vehicle condition, quality, damage, and documentation checks.Ensure proper vehicle identification through VIN/chassis number, barcode, PDA, or system scanning.Coordinate with PDI, Quality Control, Transporters, Security, Sales, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.Plan daily vehicle movements according to dispatch schedules and operational priorities.Control transporters, drivers, shuttle movements, and loading activities.Ensure vehicles are safely staged and prepared for truck/car-carrier loading.Verify shipping documents, delivery notes, vehicle details, and destination information.Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle transactions and maintain accurate records.Identify and report vehicle damage, missing accessories, defects, or documentation discrepancies.Ensure FIFO/FEFO or company-defined vehicle dispatch principles are followed where applicable.Monitor yard capacity and optimize parking space utilization.Conduct daily operational checks and report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.Monitor manpower, equipment, and vehicle movement productivity against daily targets.Prepare daily/weekly operational reports and KPI dashboards.Required QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Automotive, Operations, or a related field.
