VR GP

Role Description The VR General Practitioner (GP) at ProCare Medical will provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population in an on-site clinic located in Surry Hills, NSW. This full-time role involves conducting patient consultations, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. The VR GP will review and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, coordinate care with allied health professionals and specialists, and maintain accurate, timely clinical records. The role includes preventive health activities such as screening, immunisations, health education, and chronic disease management, while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and adhering to all clinical governance and regulatory requirements. The VR GP will also participate in practice meetings, support a collaborative team environment, and ensure a high standard of patient-centered care.Qualifications Current FRACGP or equivalent vocational registration, with full AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner.Demonstrated experience in general practice, including management of chronic diseases, preventive health, and acute presentations.Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and decision-making skills, supported by evidence-based practice.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and colleagues.Competence in using clinical software and electronic medical records, with sound computer literacy.Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and compliance with all relevant guidelines and standards.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, training, and continuing medical education.Experience in urban primary care settings or community health environments is highly regarded.Current working rights in Australia and relevant professional indemnity insurance.
