VTOL & Propulsion
AZM — عَزْم · Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Apply & track with Apply EdgeAZM is a Saudi advanced engineering company developing next-generation autonomous systems across air, land, maritime, and subsurface domains. Our mission is to build sovereign engineering capability in Saudi Arabia — from first principles, simulation, and system architecture to prototypes, testing, and real-world deployment. The RoleAZM is looking for a VTOL & Propulsion Engineer to join its founding engineering team in Riyadh. You will help develop propulsion architectures for next-generation UAV and VTOL platforms, working across the full engineering cycle — concept, modeling, integration, prototyping, testing, and validation. What You’ll Work On
- VTOL and eVTOL propulsion architectures
- Electric and hybrid-electric propulsion systems
- Propellers, rotors, ducted fans, and distributed propulsion
- Vertical-lift and transition-flight performance
- Propulsion sizing and performance modeling
- Motors, controllers, batteries, and power electronics integration
- Thermal management and energy optimization
- Propulsion–airframe integration
- Ground and propulsion-system testing
- Prototype development and engineering validation
- Collaboration with aerodynamics, structures, avionics, controls, and systems engineering teamsWhat We’re Looking For
- Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of aircraft propulsion and flight fundamentals
- Experience with UAV, VTOL/eVTOL, electric propulsion, hybrid propulsion, or experimental aircraft is highly valued
- Experience with engineering analysis, simulation, CAD, or propulsion testing
- Ability to work across disciplines and solve problems from first principles
- Comfortable working in an early-stage engineering environment where systems are built, tested, and iterated rapidlyExperience with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, OpenVSP, SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, Python, or equivalent engineering platforms is valuable. Why AZMThis is not a role focused on maintaining an established aircraft program. You will help build the program itself. From early propulsion architecture to physical prototypes and testing, you will have the opportunity to influence how AZM’s first generation of aerospace systems is engineered.📍 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — On-site🌍 International applicants are welcomeContact@sourcekuw.comVertical lift.
