About GandourGandour is a growing international family business established in 1857, providing consumers with “Ingredients for Happiness.”With a rich heritage in manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and business development, Gandour has evolved from its beginnings as a manufacturer of hard-boiled candies and marzipan in Lebanon into a leading FMCG producer of cocoa-based products, bakery, confectionery, and food & beverage products, including fruit drinks and vegetable oils.Today, millions of consumers around the world enjoy Gandour’s products, which are available in more than 33 markets across the Middle East, Africa, the Gulf region, Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Europe, and North America.Job ObjectiveWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Wafer Oven Operator to join our manufacturing team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring the wafer baking oven to ensure high-quality production, operational efficiency, and production continuity, while strictly following food safety and workplace safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor the wafer oven and adjust temperature and speed profiles according to production requirements.Monitor batter deposition and ensure even distribution on baking plates to achieve the required weight and thickness.Conduct regular quality checks on wafer sheets, including color, moisture, crispness, weight, and thickness.Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities, including cleaning baking plates, lubrication, and checking burners and belts.Troubleshoot minor operational issues and take immediate corrective action to minimize downtime.Work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth line operation and continuity.Strictly follow occupational health & safety, food safety, and GMP standards.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum 5 years of proven hands-on experience as a Wafer Oven Operator.Mandatory: Proven and solid experience operating Haas or Bühler wafer ovens.Strong practical knowledge of wafer baking processes and industrial oven operation.Good understanding of preventive maintenance for baking ovens.Ability to troubleshoot operational issues effectively.High school diploma, technical diploma, or equivalent.Strong teamwork and coordination skills.Willingness to work in rotating shifts.📍 LocationJeddah, Saudi ArabiaImportant RequirementExperience with Haas or Bühler wafer ovens is mandatory. Candidates without relevant hands-on experience with these types of wafer ovens may not be considered.
