Position OverviewThe Customs Coordinator / Rater is responsible for providing support to the customs operations team, specifically in managing the processing of shipments and ensuring accurate tariff classification, valuation, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating customs entries, managing relevant documentation, and supporting the seamless flow of goods through the customs clearance process. The Customs Coordinator / Rater plays an integral role in ensuring that all customs-related activities are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with international trade laws.Scope: This role will be responsible to all the cargo and shipments inside PSA BDP warehouses and others as well as handling transportation for various type of clients domestically and overland and will keep the security measures according to the different applicable legislations.Responsibilities: Warehouse: Responsible for the Warehouse operations from a 3PL perspective. Candidate must have experience in the below:Extensive knowledge in the various warehousing operations, SOPs and KPIs.Knowledge and experience with warehouse documentation and handling inside Free Zones (JAFZA in particular).Experience in handling different types of Cargo (General, DG, FMCG, Pharma, etc.).Billing and charges verification for the monthly warehouse activities.Communicating with clients and service providers to make sure all requests are done on time and as per the agreed SOPs and KPIs.Transportation: Responsible for the transportation operations from a 3PL perspective. Candidate must have experience in the below:Truck booking as per requirements and follow-ups.Daily updates and follow-up to ensure the job is done perfectly.Billing and charges verification.Communicating with clients and service providers to make sure all requests are done on time and as per the agreed SOPs and KPIs.Qualifications/Experience: +3 years of experience in Warehouse, Transportation / Overland or 3PL operations.College/University graduate.Knowledge of warehouse documentation, JAFZA/Free Zone procedures, cargo handling, billing and transportation coordination.Computer literacy with Microsoft Software applications, MS Excel expertise.
