JOB SUMMARY The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the safe and accurate physical handling of finished goods and other approved materials within the roastery warehouse.The role supports receiving, unloading, storage, picking, staging, loading, stock counting, and internal material movements. The Warehouse Assistant ensures products are properly identified, stored, protected, and prepared according to approved documents while maintaining warehouse accuracy, traceability, housekeeping, and safety standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Receive, unload, count, and inspect finished goods, materials, transfers, returns, and other approved deliveries. Verify received quantities and product details against the Delivery Note, transfer document, purchase order, or other approved receiving document. Report shortages, excess quantities, damaged goods, incorrect products, or documentation discrepancies immediately.·Store products in their approved warehouse locations according to product code, batch, expiry date, status, and storage requirements. Ensure all pallets, cartons, and products are correctly identified and maintain clear traceability within the warehouse.Pick finished goods strictly according to the approved packing list, Delivery Note, or authorized dispatch document.Confirm product code, description, quantity, batch, expiry date, and customer requirement during the picking process. Stage picked products in the designated dispatch area and kept orders separated by customer, document, or delivery.Support the final physical verification of prepared orders before loading.Load and unload vehicles safely while protecting products from damage, contamination, or incorrect handling. Ensure only that checked and approved products are loaded for dispatch.Support internal transfers of finished goods between Packing, Quality, warehouse locations, and dispatch areas.Apply FIFO or FEFO principles according to product requirements and approved warehouse procedures.Maintain proper segregation of released, hold, damaged, returned, rejected, rework, or non-conforming products.Support pallet preparation, carton arrangement, stretch wrapping, labeling, and secure staging for transportation.  Maintain accurate physical movement records and provide the required information to the Logistics Coordinator.Support daily stock checks, cycle counts, full physical counts, and stock reconciliation activities. Assist in investigating physical stock differences and confirming product locations.Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, aisle accessibility, and appropriate pallet arrangement.Ensure products are stored safely and protected from damage, contamination, moisture, or improper handling.Follow all warehouse procedures, manual handling requirements, GMP, hygiene, food safety, and occupational safety standards. Report unsafe conditions, damaged pallets, product leaks, pest concerns, or storage risks immediately.Perform other warehouse-related activities assigned according to operational requirements. ROLE REQUIREMENTSGood understanding of basic warehouse, receiving, picking, and dispatch activities.Ability to check product codes, quantities, batches, and expiry dates accurately.Ability to perform physical warehouse activities and handle finished goods safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to stock accuracy.Ability to follow approved documents, work instructions, and supervisor guidance.Good teamwork and communication skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced roastery and warehouse environment.Awareness of hygiene, food safety, manual handling, and workplace safety requirements.QUALIFICATIONS High school certificate or equivalent.Basic warehouse, logistics, or material-handling training is an advantage.Forklift or material-handling equipment certification is preferred when required for the role.Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills are required.EXPERIENCE REQUIREDMinimum 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, receiving, picking, or dispatch operations is preferred.Experience handling finished goods in a manufacturing, food production, FMCG, or warehouse environment is an advantage Strong practical knowledge of industry-specific technical processes, equipment, systems, and operational standardsKnowledge of health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.Familiarity with industry is the best practice, technical standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
