Job Title: Warehouse AssistantDepartment: WarehouseWage Category: Annual Salary with BenefitsReport to: Warehouse SupervisorLocation: 165 Milner Ave, Scarborough, ON M1S 4G7Salary: CAD $40,000 - $45,000 per yearWarehouse Assistant is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/ unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach truck, order picker or other heavy material handling equipment. The Warehouse Associate can be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping/manifesting and other various duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation.Duties and Responsibilities:Use material handling (MH) equipment to unload incoming materials from trailersVerify and receive materials into inventoryWork from pick sheet to pull raw materials, components, products or supplies for production, compounding and other internal customersMark and shirk-wrap skidsDuties may include receiving, checking and storingStack pallets and repeatedly lift up to 50 poundsUse MH equipment to move and store materials within the warehouseUse MH equipment to pick, verify orders according to standards practiceUse MH Equipment or other designated means to load goods into trailers or other designated transport vehiclesPerform any other warehouse duties as request by the supervisorQualifications:Minimum High School or Technical degreeIdeal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse or manufacturing environmentCertified forklift operator with licenseProven basic math skills at the high school levelAbility to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervisionMust be available to work the fixed evening shift 4pm-12:30amWe care for our employees:Convenient public transit (bus stop right outside the facility)On-site free parkingOn-site gymEmployee Health BenefitsCorporate Discount ProgramGroup Retirement Saving Plan / Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan (GRSP/DPSP)Please note: Only those selected for an interview will be contacted, and applicants who do not receive a response within a reasonable timeframe may assume their application was unsuccessful.
