The ideal candidate combines strong operational leadership with a continuous improvement mindset, commercial awareness, and a passion for building high-performing teams while implementing new processes and technologies. This role requires relentless focus on service, cost optimization, inventory integrity, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1- Operational LeadershipOversee daily operations across all warehouse facilities (internal and external warehouses)Lead, motivate and develop warehouse staff including supervisors, officers, and others while building a culture of accountability, high performance, operational discipline, and continuous improvementDevelop a cross skilled team to be utilized flexible across different warehouses / different areas of warehousingEstablish KPI-driven performance management to ensure optimal utilization of warehouse resources2- Systems & Process OptimizationImplement and optimize the Warehouse Management System (WMS)Optimize storage space utilization to maximize capacity and efficiencyBenchmark warehouses performance against industry best practices and drive continuous enhancement initiatives to reduce costs, eliminate waste and improve productivity.3- Cost & Inventory Management Manage the annual warehouse budgetMaintain a strong cost-conscious mindset and continuously scrutinize/reduce all warehouse operational expenses, inventory holding costs, labor productivity, and external service costsDevelop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for inventory control, working capital efficiency, and obsolete stock managementEnsure inventory accuracy through rigorous cycle counts4- Cross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate cross-departmental logistics with Production, Sales, Logistics (Transportation), Procurement and Finance to optimize end-to-end material flows and inventory managementSupport broader business transformation and operational excellence initiatives across the organizationHandle escalated customer and vendor issues effectively5- Compliance & SafetyPromote a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements to achieve zero lost timeEnsure regulatory compliance (customs, fire safety, etc.)6- Reporting & People DevelopmentEstablish KPI-driven performance management with monthly KPI reports (OTIF, damage rates, inventory accuracy, personnel utilization, cost management, etc.)Regularly review operational and financial performance, providing data-driven recommendations to senior managementDevelop staff training programs to build team capabilityCandidate Profile:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred10+ years of warehouse management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven expertise in WMS implementation and optimization.Strong leadership skills with experience managing large and multicultural teams within complex operational environmentsExperience in manufacturing, paper, recycling, or a related industrial sector preferred.Demonstrated success in inventory accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement.Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesDemonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and drive sustainable organizational changeStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-makingProven track record of delivering measurable cost savings, productivity improvements, and operational excellence initiatives
