Role Description The Director at BAYSCOM ENERGY LIMITED will oversee the company’s strategic direction, ensuring alignment between business objectives, operational performance, and regulatory requirements in the energy sector. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria, involving daily engagement with senior leadership, department heads, and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include setting long-term goals, guiding business development initiatives, managing budgets, and monitoring key performance indicators to support sustainable growth. The Director will lead organizational planning, strengthen internal governance, and foster a culture of safety, ethics, and continuous improvement. The role also entails representing the company in industry forums, building partnerships, and supporting talent development to maintain a high-performing workforce.QualificationsStrategic leadership and management skills, including the ability to define vision, set priorities, and drive organizational change.Strong financial and business acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.Knowledge of the energy sector and regulatory environment in Nigeria, including compliance and risk management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for working with internal teams, regulators, partners, and investors.Proven experience in building and leading diverse, cross-functional teams and fostering an inclusive work environment.Ability to analyze complex problems, make data-informed decisions, and implement practical solutions.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA or relevant master’s) is an advantage.Previous experience in a senior leadership or director-level role, preferably within the energy or infrastructure sectors.High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and ethical conduct.
