An established Chicago-based company is looking for a Warehouse Procurement Manager to lead purchasing and supply chain activities, including coordinating, and expediting materials and services needed at client sites. This role will manage procurement across a variety of spending categories, with a focus on identifying favorable pricing, strengthening supplier performance, and creating greater value through the purchasing function. The position requires someone who can build strong relationships through while also working independently and adjusting to a fast-moving environment. The Warehouse Procurement Manager will improve procurement practices with the goal of increasing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting the company's business objectives. This is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary of up to $175,000, plus bonus potential. The position also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other standard benefits.Responsibilities of the Warehouse Procurement Manager:Lead purchasing activities for materials, equipment, services, and subcontracts while maintaining alignment across the organization's procurement processes.Identify opportunities to improve purchasing outcomes through strategic sourcing, supplier research, pricing analysis, and the development of alternative sources when appropriate.Assess current procurement practices and systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement processes and best practices that promote greater efficiency.Develop productive working relationships with key suppliers to support procurement needs and initiatives.Create, introduce, and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines across the firm while negotiating contracts with vendors for materials, supplies, equipment, and services.Monitor and manage supplier performance through evaluations, reporting, cost-savings metrics, delivery performance, purchase price variance, and other key measures, while addressing corrective actions and escalating potential supply chain issues to senior management.Qualifications of the Warehouse Procurement Manager:Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, or procurement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of experience working in procurement and supply chain management.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Fishbowl or another inventory management system is a plus.Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, supported by polished written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and develop strong, long-term vendor partnerships.Resourceful and adaptable with the ability to research supply sources, oversee strategic supply chain activities, and identify potential issues that could impact efficiency.P-13
