Our client is seeking a hands-on and highly organized Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, lead the warehouse team, and ensure productivity, safety, accuracy, and service standards are consistently achieved.This position is ideal for an experienced warehouse leader who is comfortable managing people, improving processes, solving operational challenges, and stepping into different warehouse functions when additional support is needed. The successful candidate will lead by example and remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse OperationsOversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order preparation, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory movementEnsure daily productivity, accuracy, quality, and service targets are achievedOrganize warehouse workflows and prioritize tasks according to operational requirementsMonitor staffing and workload levels and reassign team members as neededAssist with warehouse duties during busy periods or staffing shortagesEnsure materials and products are stored, handled, and moved safely and efficientlyReview operational reports and use the information to support planning and decision-makingTeam LeadershipLead, supervise, coach, and support warehouse employeesSet clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, safety, and workplace conductProvide ongoing training, feedback, and performance coachingPromote teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and respectful communicationLead by example and consistently demonstrate the organization’s expected character qualities and workplace valuesAddress employee concerns and operational issues calmly and professionallySupport the onboarding and training of new warehouse employeesProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity, workflow, accuracy, safety, and organizationDevelop, document, and implement improved warehouse processes and proceduresMonitor the effectiveness of new processes and make adjustments when requiredWork collaboratively with other departments to resolve operational challengesUse reports, performance information, and employee feedback to identify areas for improvementSupport inventory control and help investigate discrepancies or recurring errorsHealth and SafetyEnsure all warehouse activities are completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirementsPromote safe material-handling practices throughout the warehouseEnsure employees properly use personal protective equipment and warehouse equipmentConduct regular warehouse inspections and address potential hazardsSupport incident investigations and corrective actions when requiredSafely operate material-handling equipment when necessaryQualificationsExperience and EducationHigh school diploma or equivalentThree to five years of warehouse experiencePrevious warehouse leadership, supervisory, or management experienceDemonstrated experience developing and implementing process improvementsPrevious logistics or distribution experience is considered an assetValid Material Handling Equipment certification, or the ability to obtain certification within three months of employmentOn-site equipment training will be provided when requiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong leadership, coaching, and team-management skillsExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skillsAbility to lead by example and consistently demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and integrityStrong verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively with employees, management, and other departmentsEnglish reading and writing proficiencyGood computer skills, including the ability to review reports and work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks is considered an assetAbility to remain calm and effective when managing high-pressure situationsComfortable working in a hands-on warehouse leadership positionPhysical Demands and Working ConditionsWork is performed in a fast-paced warehouse environmentThe Warehouse Manager may be required to assist in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, material handling, or other warehouse functionsThe position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periodsThe position may involve bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materialsMust be comfortable working around forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipmentMust be able to manage changing priorities and operational demands calmly and effectively
