Rooted in a mission of social responsibility, HUNGRY fosters local economic growth while embracing eco-friendly practices — donating one meal for every two purchased, with more than 3 million meals donated to date.The Role:The Warehouse Supervisor leads day-to-day execution of HUNGRY's Los Angeles warehouse and fulfillment operations, overseeing a team of Warehouse Associates/Drivers. This role coordinates receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and quality-control processes while ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time delivery across the warehouse.This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to train, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership & SupervisionSupervise, schedule, and coach Warehouse Associates/Drivers across daily shiftsTrain new hires on warehouse systems, safety procedures, and quality standards; provide ongoing performance feedbackAssign daily tasks and ensure adequate staffing to meet receiving, picking, and delivery schedulesReceiving & Inventory ManagementOversee and assist with receiving of inbound product, verifying quantities, condition, and expiration dates against expected deliveriesEnsure proper storage in dry, refrigerated, and frozen locations, and enforce FIFO and product rotationMaintain accurate inventory records in Sortly and other HUNGRY systems; lead cycle counts and physical inventoriesInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged product, shortages, and expired productOrder Fulfillment & Quality ControlOversee and assist with order picking, packing, and labeling to ensure accuracy in product, quantity, and pack sizeVerify completed orders for SKU and quantity accuracy before release; correct errors before orders leave the warehouseManage staging of dry, refrigerated, and frozen orders by client, route, and delivery schedule, and support driver load-outWarehouse Safety & ComplianceEnforce food-safety, sanitation, and cold-chain procedures, and maintain clean, organized, hazard-free work areasEnsure safe use of warehouse equipment, carts, pallet jacks, and ladders; address equipment or facility issues promptlyOversee opening and closing warehouse proceduresOperational SupportPartner with Warehouse Associates, drivers, and Operations team to ensure orders are completed on scheduleCommunicate inventory shortages, discrepancies, and operational issues promptly to leadershipSupport warehouse setup, organization, and process improvements as the LA operation growsRequirements2+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, or food distribution experience; prior supervisory or lead experience preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to order and inventory accuracyProven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environmentComfortable using inventory management technology, including barcode/QR scanning and mobile applicationsStrong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to identify and escalate issues appropriatelyDependable attendance and punctuality, particularly for early-morning shiftsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periodsAbility to safely use warehouse carts, pallet jacks, ladders, and related equipmentAbility to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for periods of timeBenefitsExpected Annual Salary: $60,000-$70,000 USDMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance401k (currently not matching)Employer paid life/disabilityCompany Sponsored Tele-med & Tele Mental Health BenefitsEquity incentives/Stock OptionsHUNGRY is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, sex, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
