This hands-on leadership role manages inventory, shipping, receiving, transportation coordination, customer service, and operational performance. The ideal candidate has experience in logistics or freight forwarding, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to improve warehouse productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, labeling, kitting, inventory management, and order fulfillmentOversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, wall-to-wall inventories, inventory audits, and inventory control processesManage inbound shipments, warehousing activities, customs control, and outbound shipment preparation and dispatchSupervise the safe operation and utilization of warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklifts, pallet movers, swing-reach trucks, and order pickersCoordinate transportation activities and resolve customer logistics issuesPartner with customers to provide customized warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and logistics solutionsMonitor warehouse performance and ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and budget objectives are achievedDevelop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and customer service levelsHire, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnelAssign work, establish priorities, monitor productivity, and manage employee performanceMaintain compliance with company policies, warehouse safety standards, and security proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programsQualificationsRequired:Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, air freight, or warehouse operationsExperience building pallets and Unit Load Devices (ULDs)Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and distribution processesExperience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and shipment tracking systemsDemonstrated leadership skills with experience driving KPIs and employee engagementStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentCustomer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skillsPreferred:1+ years of supervisory or warehouse leadership experienceBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related fieldKey Competencies:Warehouse operations managementInventory control and accuracyLeadership, coaching, and team developmentKPI management and operational reportingCustomer service and logistics coordinationBudget awareness and operational efficiencyProcess improvement and continuous improvement initiativesDecision-making and problem-solving
