Wastewater / UPW Operations Supervisor

We are recruiting for an experienced Wastewater / Ultrapure Water (UPW) Operations Supervisor to support a leading advanced manufacturing facility in Tualatin, OR.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in industrial water treatment, ultrapure water, wastewater, semiconductor manufacturing, or critical process utilities who is ready to take ownership of day-to-day operations and lead an onsite technical team.The RoleYou’ll be responsible for supervising the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of onsite water and wastewater treatment systems, with a particular focus on UPW production and critical plant uptime.Responsibilities will include:Overseeing day-to-day water, wastewater and UPW operationsLeading and supporting onsite Operations TechniciansOperating and monitoring systems including reverse osmosis (RO), UV, ion exchange and advanced filtrationTroubleshooting pumps, valves, instrumentation, membranes and process equipmentResponding to alarms and process excursions and implementing corrective actionsSupporting preventative maintenance and system reliability initiativesMonitoring water quality and critical process parametersEnsuring compliance with LOTO, chemical handling, environmental and operational safety proceduresSupporting startup, shutdown and operational proceduresDeveloping and improving SOPs, maintenance documentation and operational guidelinesMaintaining accurate operational records, process data and inventoryIdentifying opportunities to improve plant performance, reliability and water efficiencySupporting a facility operating in a 24/7 advanced manufacturing environmentIdeal BackgroundWe’re interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within:Ultrapure Water / UPWIndustrial wastewater treatmentSemiconductor or electronics manufacturingPharmaceutical / biotech manufacturingAdvanced manufacturingIndustrial utilities or high-purity process waterIdeally, you’ll bring:Strong hands-on understanding of RO, ion exchange, filtration and water chemistryPrevious supervisory, lead operator or senior technician experienceExperience with process instrumentation and basic PLC/HMI troubleshootingAbility to interpret P&IDs, process schematics and technical documentationExperience with pumps, valves, chemical feed and treatment systemsStrong knowledge of LOTO and industrial chemical safetyThe ability to lead a team while remaining technically hands-onFlexibility to support an onsite operation, including some on-call responsibilityIf you have experience leading UPW, industrial water, wastewater or process utility operations and would be interested in hearing more, apply directly or message me confidentially.
